Day by Day
The Itinerary
Arrive at Kigoma Airport and transfer to the lake shore. Take a boat ride across Lake Tanganyika to reach Gombe. Check into your lodge and enjoy a forest walk or relax by the lake.
Overnight in Gombe.
Morning briefing with TANAPA ranger guides. Trek into Gombe forest tracking wild chimpanzees. Spend up to 1 hour observing chimp family interactions. Afternoon hike to Kakombe Waterfall.
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning chimpanzee trekking session or guided forest exploration in Gombe National Park.
After the trekking experience, return to the lodge for lunch and prepare for departure. Take a scenic boat transfer across Lake Tanganyika back to Kigoma town.
Upon arrival in Kigoma, transfer to Sunset Vista Hotel for check-in, dinner, and relaxation.
Overnight at Sunset Vista Hotel, Kigoma.
After breakfast at Sunset Vista Hotel, check out and transfer to Kigoma Airport for your departure flight.
